An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join the communications team at Norwich City Football Club in the role of website and social editor. Working with the head of content, this role will be responsible for planning, developing and executing a content strategy across digital channels, ensuring a best-in-class and forward-thinking approach to content production and publishing.
The successful candidate will have excellent written skills, with the ability to write for multiple audiences across a variety of different mediums, ranging from official club press releases to punching copy for social media channels. The ideal applicant will be a creative thinker with an eye for works in the digital space, alongside exceptional attention to detail.
Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead on publication of content across club social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn) and official club website, canaries.co.uk
Ensure roles and responsibilities are assigned to members of the content production team, allowing for forward planning and efficient ways of working
Develop and share widder analysis of club content, helping in the production of a monthly report to be shared internally across the business
Work closely with club’s video production team to align on requests and cross-promotion of video content
Develop relationships with key stakeholders across the business to ensure the wider demands and targets are met and communicated in a timely manner
Champion and implement club style across club’s digital channels
Assist in production of written content for the club’s matchday programme, OTBC, where required
Ensure relevant graphic design briefs are collated and submitted to the marketing team in a timely and concise manner
To act in a manner that supports the club’s values of Growth, Integrity, Belonging, Resilience, Pride and Commitment
All applicants should have a journalism (or equivalent) degree, with demonstrable experience of working in content production and/or copywriting.
